NEW ORLEANS – Integrated marketing firm Deveney Communication has been awarded eight Hermes Creative Awards. The firm’s internal marketing piece along with client work for the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA), Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group and the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) were among the campaigns recognized in this year’s awards program.
There were more than 3,700 entries from throughout the United States and several other countries. Entries came from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.
Only about 17 percent of the entries received Platinum Awards this year, the organization’s top honor.
Deveney Communication received Platinum Awards for its work with:
• Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group’s 2007 Media Relations Campaign
• NOMA’s Rodrigue’s Louisiana: Cajuns, Blue Dogs and Beyond Katrina exhibition
• Deveney Communication’s Holiday Mailer
The firm received the second highest award, the Gold Award, for its work with:
• NOMA’s Femme, Femme, Femme: Paintings of Women in French Society from Daumier to Picasso from the Museums of France exhibition
• NMMA’s 2008 New Orleans Boat Show
• Deveney Communication’s Holiday Campaign
In addition, Deveney Communication received honorable mentions for its own holiday card and for its work with the Louisiana Office of Tourism’s Only in Louisiana campaign.
The Hermes Creative Awards program is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technologies. The awards are judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
