When Sharon O’Brien walked through the doors of Deveney Communication for the first time, she knew the chemistry was right when a sleek black cat crossed her path. An inveterate animal lover (notwithstanding a history of pet-related allergies), Sharon moved two reluctant cats cross country three times in five years before ending up back home in New Orleans last summer.
Unlike most people who begin their careers in agency settings, Sharon came to DC from the client side where her focus was healthcare marketing and public relations. Today, she provides support and strategy to the healthcare arm of DC. And, no, she does not miss wearing lady suits to work or the huge corner office suite of her former life. But why would she? There’s bliss of a certain kind in an open office where there are no thermostat wars and where snuggies and space heaters are never out of place, not even during the steamy New Orleans summers.
