For John, it has been more of an adventure than a career. And John lives for adventure.

His leadership, creativity and ingenuity were honored by PrNews’ “Agency Executive of the Year” following his role as a first responder to hurricanes Katrina and Rita through the evacuation, military blockade and the aftermath for both the city and the Louisiana Office of Tourism. He led the only on-site communication operation and media center that managed more than $400 million in media scrutiny in war-like conditions—which also earned John his twelfth International Gold Quill (a feat only a handful of international leaders in strategic communication can claim).

Enthusiasm has fueled much of John’s success. His quick rise in leadership in the industry and in his career—including leadership at the Mayor’s Office, Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, Loyola University and the region’s largest private medical center—led to opening his own consultancy and his selection for PR NEWS’ first list of “15 To Watch” leaders shaping the industry. His firm’s meteoric start was chronicled through significant national campaigns, with particular strength in crisis, healthcare, tourism and hospitality; including some of the most successful national efforts for PhRMA, March of Dimes, the Louisiana Office of Tourism and the New Orleans Museum of Art. His worked has earned the highest recognition internationally including PRSA Best of Silver Anvil and The IABC Jake Whittmer.

Most recently, John created the strategy and led the incredible team that managed State Tourism’s response to the BP Oil Spill, which reshaped public perception and preserved Louisiana’s $9.4 billion tourism industry.

John lives in the historic Faubourg Marigny. He enjoys working out hard at the gym and the dinner table and eating leftover Chinese food.
