Though curiosity didn’t kill her, it absolutely froze her. Giselle left Louisiana for seven years to explore the bitter cold and sports scene of the Windy City, only to return for her love (and the weather) of New Orleans. She traded in her puffy coat and snow boots for hot, humid summers, Louisiana cuisine and unlimited access to seafood.
Giselle jumpstarted her PR career at Weber Shandwick in Chicago, where she worked in-depth on the got milk?® Media Relations team and the Milk, Suave and Pedigree accounts. After Weber, she quickly climbed the ladder at CKPR Chicago to develop and execute PR campaigns for GlaxoSmithKline consumer products, Old Spice High Endurance Body Wash, Kohl’s Retail Store, AirTran Airways, Fleming’s Steakhouse and the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities. After CKPR, Giselle dabbled in corporate communication for Leo Burnett and Arc Worldwide North America, where she promoted the agency's advertising campaigns for blue chips clients including Allstate, GMC, Hallmark, Kellogg’s, McDonald’s, Nintendo and Samsung; thought leadership and the senior executive team. Most recently, she was the PR/Marketing Manager for Market Restaurant and Sports Bar Chicago. When she wasn’t rubbing elbows with celebrities who stopped by for bite, she was creating, executing and managing marketing, public relations and social media strategies and tactics. A media relations maven, she has garnered hundreds of millions media impressions achieving national media placements in People, Entertainment Tonight, Southern Living, CNBC, CNN, Associated Press, ESPN SportsCenter, New York Times, USA Today and Ad Age, just to name a few.
In February 2010 right after the iconic Super Bowl win, Giselle joined Deveney Communication. Currently, she works with a variety of clients, including Terrebonne General Medical Center, Touro Infirmary, Peoples Health, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and Mitchell’s Fish Market.
In her spare time, you can find Giselle at a crawfish boil, festival, parade or sporting event.
