Kate started her PR career at a young age. At the tender age of 10, she implemented her first crisis management plan when she helped reorganize the school play and memorized a lengthy monologue when her classmate came down with the flu. At 14, she put together a committee to plan and publicize the best freshman sweetheart dance her high school had ever seen, and at 16 she conducted hours upon hours of research to prove to her parents that a car was a necessity for her junior year. She thrives under pressure, sees the big picture while still keeping in mind the small details and knows how to get her point across.
From Baton Rouge, LA, Kate is studying public relations and marketing at Loyola University New Orleans. She served as Student Body President her junior year and currently serves as president of her mass communication honor society, Kappa Tau Alpha. She is also an officer in Delta Gamma and a DJ for Crescent City Radio. She is a member of the national finalist team for the 2010 PRSSA Bateman Competition and interned for the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation this past summer. She was recently named Loyola’s Most Influential Student in 2011 and her Bateman Competition team received a Silver Anvil Award for their work on the 2010 United States Census from the Public Relations Society of America. She enjoys reading blogs, attending concerts and exploring the wonderful city she now calls home.
